Salt Water, Lobster & Tunes!! And gorgeous sunsets Salt Water, Lobster & Tunes!! And gorgeous sunsets!

Last weekend I headed to @centremicareme in Grand Étang, Cape Breton for their series of summer events. This was the Salt Water, Lobster & Tunes event which takes place a couple times a week all summer long. For one price you get to enjoy fantastic live local music, and a tasty lobster dinner all enjoyed ocean side with a lovely sunset.

This is the perfect experience for visitors that are local Nova Scotians or from around the world! Don’t worry if it’s your first time with lobster as they will help you dig in to this delicious crustacean as well.

It’s a fun way to spend your evening and you can learn about the local Acadian community, art, and Mi-Carême as well!

Definitely make it a stop on your way around the Cabot Trail!

I was excited to try their Old Vine Zinfandel perfectly paired with burgers and their Chardonnay which is best with fresh Nova Scotian lobster! Pop into @bishopscellar to give them a try!

Check out their IG accounts and/or in store advertisements to scan the QR code and enter to win a Napoleon Phantom ROGUE SE 425 BBQ!

Quinpool road in Halifax, Nova Scotia is a lot mor Quinpool road in Halifax, Nova Scotia is a lot more vibrant these days thanks to the
@halifaxmuralfestival!

There are 15 new murals along Quinpool road between Beech Street and Robie Street. There are 9 big wall murals and 6 electrical boxes painted by a bunch of talented artists!

I love street art and these really bring some life to the area.

My favourite if you couldn't tell is the huge neon tiger that
is giving Lisa Frank vibes. Made by @junekima.rt IT'S SO
BIG!! love it!

Which one is your favourite? Take a stroll around the area
to see them all!

Raise your hand if you want to stay in a Geodesic Raise your hand if you want to stay in a Geodesic dome with your own private Nordic Spa!!!

It might have been foggy, drizzly, and rainy on my adventure to @truenorthdestinations in Pleasant Bay, Cape Breton but I still had an awesome stay!

One of the first geodesic dome properties in all of Nova Scotia they have 8 domes on property and two of them now have private Nordic spas. Aside from your own hot tub you also get your own private sauna and an outdoor shower. You can then cycle through dry heat, cold shower, hot tub and repeat. It’s a lovely experience to enjoy and then you can cozy up in a robe inside with some complimentary chocolates and a nice drink.

The domes are large and have full kitchens with a stove top, microwave, fridge, coffee maker, toaster, kettle, etc. They also have heat pumps and dehumidifiers.

Located just about half way around the Cabot Trail it is the perfect place to stop for a couple nights on your travels around the area. Be sure to book far in advance!

Lobster boils by the ocean and a comfy bed to slee Lobster boils by the ocean and a comfy bed to sleep in? Yes please!

My new favourite accommodation in Nova Scotia is the @argylerlodge in Argyle, Nova Scotia part of the Yarmouth & Acadian Shores area.

Open seasonally with a delicious menu curated by co-owner and Chef Jonathan Joseph. If you are looking for a place to stay in that area of NS I highly recommend you check them out and book ahead for a delicious lobster boil on Lobster Bay!

Have you eaten enough ice cream yet this summer?!? Have you eaten enough ice cream yet this summer?!?!

There’s a new awesome ice cream place in Nova Scotia called The Deck(@dothedeckdothedeck), located in Blanford on the Aspotogan peninsula on the South Shore. It’s been the Deck for years but recently had a huge renovation and transformation and now it’s an awesome spot for fancy and fun ice creams, coffee, lobster rolls and more!

Also located not far from Bayswater beach! I highly recommend you check them out this summer!!

I went for the seaside special with chocolate mermaid tail and moonmist ice cream. Yum!!
