Today I enjoyed the afternoon at @propellerbeer @propshopsns Bedford with one of their new Irish Stouts, a green Blonde beer and a delicious meat hand pie from @thehandpieco along with @two.bards.brewing

A lovely, calm afternoon VS the craziness of Irish pubs and downtown bars in Halifax today 😂💚🍀

Propeller is one of the oldest craft beer brewers in the province (we now have over 56!!) and they have a few great locations you can visit and a beer bar arcade! Be sure to check them out! Cheers! 💚🍺

Visit one of the newest tiny home properties in Nova Scotia with me!

This is the Watervale Springs Retreat @wvsretreat in Salt Springs, Nova Scotia (Pictou County). Opened in November 2024 they have 3 tiny homes on property. Cabins 1 & 3 sleep two people each in comfy King beds and Cabin 2 sleeps up to four having a King bed and Murphy bed.

Each tiny home has its own BBQ, fire table, and private deck. Inside they have kitchenettes with an air fryer and induction cooktop as well as a coffee and tea bar and full sized bathrooms.

Located in the woods far from the hustle and bustle of everyday life it is a gorgeous place to relax and disconnect. There is however wifi and tv though of course. When staying here you can opt for add on packages which can include breakfast items, a movie night package with popcorn, drinks and snacks and even a charcuterie package.

Nearby there are several farm stands and convenience stores or New Glasgow and Stellarton are just 20mins away by car. There you can find all major grocery stores, pharmacies and great restaurants like @shoeboxcantina and @bluelobsterpublichouse as well as the @ngfarmmarket.

For the summer months the tiny homes are only about 30-35 min from Pictou and Melmerby beach, the warmest beach in Nova Scotia. They are also just as close to the ferry terminal to PEI which makes them a great place to stay before or after visiting the island.

Be sure to check them out this spring or summer for a wonderful getaway or staycation!

These tiny homes are for adults only, no pets and currently do not have hot tubs.

Bet you didn’t know I was so good at hide and seek 😂

This is the Watervale Springs Retreat @wvsretreat in Salt Springs, Nova Scotia. They have three gorgeous tiny homes on property that just opened in November 2024! They have two tiny homes that sleep 2 with one king bed each and one that sleeps 4 with a Kind bed and Murphy bed.

The tiny homes have a small kitchenette and BBQs, full sized bathrooms, wifi, flat screen tvs and more. (No hot tubs, adults only.)

If you are looking for a great getaway in Nova Scotia in the woods or a place to disconnect this is it. There are a few great country markets nearby and you are only 20min to the @bluelobsterpublichouse or 25 min to New Glasgow and spots like @shoeboxcantina and the @ngfarmmarket. Or a 30 min drive to Melmerby beach the warmest beach in Nova Scotia and just 30 min to the PEI Ferry @nflbayferries

February was such a BUSY month as I travelled up and down the South Shore of Nova Scotia for the @novascotialobstercrawl. Filled with tons of great lobster, good food and fun times!

It was also an extremely snowy February compared to recent February’s that made things a bit more difficult.

I recently was invited to one of my favourite spots @valleyskyglamping to enjoy a 3 course meal prepared by Red Seal @chefkerinadykstra right in my dome!! {AD}

Chef Kerina came pre-prepared and also cooked a few items hot and fresh using the domes amenities and outdoor BBQ. First we were treated to:

“East Coast” Hoisin Glazed Halibut Sushi with Cilantro Slaw & Mango Microgreens Salad,

2nd course was “Land ~ Herb Crusted Venison Medallions & Sea” ~ Seared Scallops with Maple Butter Pickled Carrot, Zucchini Rings, Parsnip Garlic Purée & Onion Crisps.

Finished with dessert! “Under the Stars” Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Gateau, Maple Cheesecake Cloud & Dark Cherry Gelée Pumpkin Seed Praline Dust.

This is a great add on luxury experience for your stay in a Geodesic Glamping Dome or the Orchard Cabin at Valley Sky Glamping. Dinner for two starts at $300 and is fully customizable as per your preferences with the chef. She will also provide wine pairing suggestions for you to bring.

Valley Sky is located in Wolfville, NS just down the road from Luckett’s Vineyard in the middle of Nova Scotia’s wine country. It is the perfect getaway and treat no matter the time of year.

A quick highlight of my stay at @brewerypark.hotel have you heard of it before? [AD]

Located on Agricola street in the north end of Halifax it is the city’s first boutique hotel. They are contactless check in and have 16 rooms. 8 with king beds and 8 with Queens. The rooms are available as short hotel stays, airbnbs and long term stays too. The property also has a great salon below it @louiehfx, @obsoleterecords and @bramble.hfx a tasty vegan cafe.

Located a few blocks from the Hydrostone, two blocks from @barkismet, a block from @almonakhalifax and tons of other great spots and many craft beer breweries in the area like @smokehouseagricola @goodrobotrobie @unfilteredbrewing @chainyardcider and more!
